Nisqually Earthquake 2001
On February 28, 2001, an earthquake occurred near Olympia, Washington. The quake had a magnitude of 6.8. The earth movement from the quake caused substantial damage and/or collapse of several unreinforced masonry buildings as well as cosmetic damage to countless others. We performed numerous assessments of the damage for insurance companies and property managers and later worked with contractors and owners to repair and rebuild.
