Building Envelope Review, Roof Replacement and Project Management
During the summer of 2013 the school district discovered evidence of water intrusion in a couple of classrooms. Upon removal of the interior finishes it was determined by the general contractor and school district officials that further investigation and repair recommendations were required.
Pacific Engineering Technologies was hired to provide repair recommendations to the damaged areas and to review the exterior of the building and roof to identify locations of potential damage and maintenance requirements. Further review determined the asphalt roof shingles had failed in places and had reached the end of their useful life. It was determined to remove and replace the asphalt shingles and underlayment. During the course of the project we provided construction support and installation review including reports and meetings for the client.
