We performed an investigation where areas of the existing stucco cladding were removed and the underlying conditions were reviewed. We found that the building envelope system was not constructed properly, which was resulting in moisture intrusion and damage. The wood exterior wall framing was heavily decayed in several places around the building.
We designed a new fiber-cement board siding system to replace the existing stucco cladding on the exterior walls. During construction, we performed periodic site visits to review the repair work.
